Lots of Squash

A wagonload of butternut squash.Since the frosts have killed off the bushes, it was time to harvest the butternut squash. The smaller green ones are a baby type and are fully mature. The bigger ones have been set in the cool area at the side of the shop under a protective cover that lets are flow around the vegetables.

As long as I keep a close eye out for any soft spots and the nights of freezing don’t get below 28 degrees, I will have squash until Thanksgiving.
