During the morning feeding, the trio of new calves tentatively step out of the barn while the mothers are busy eating. This is their time to explore and learn about their environment.
Before long, the calves kick up their heels and scamper around in the snowy field, much to the distress of the mothers in the barn. Mooing and mayhem ensue before the little ones are rounded up and back under control. Once calmed down, the mothers return to their breakfast.
