Long Distance Romance

A few days of warm weather gave us a glimpse of the upcoming spring. All creatures have taken note of the turn from winter, birds are seen in abundance, bugs are flying here and there, bees hum in the filbert trees, and creepy crawlies are noticeable throughout the yard and garden.

Even the worms are catching a spark while the heavy rain day started to soak the warmed ground.

Two worms mating in the grass. Two worms still tethered in their own worm holes, met for a bit of long distance romance amid the raindrops splatting on the grass.

Ever wonder about nature regarding the birds and bees of the lowly earthworm? Now you know.
