The nights of frost and cooler temperatures of the season are bringing bits of color changes to the deciduous trees on the hillside.
The colors are not as bright this year. The dry, hot summer was stressful for the leaf trees. Instead of bursting with bright fall colors, the leaves are muted and dull. Many trees are simply losing many of the leaves without changing color.
The forecast for damper weather is welcome news for humans, animals and for the forest.
